What is the difference between the AML pages and my web site?

The objective of most business websites is to provide an electronic version of a brochure. They rely on the adage that a picture is worth a thousand words. The opposite is true when it comes to search engines. Your web site is presented principally as a graphic, designed to make an impression on human viewers.

The AML pages are designed for the text based search engine "readers", this audience is blind to graphic content.  LeadsLander pages contains all the elements used in sound SEO practice. Content is narrowly focused and associated with a search term your prospects are likely to use. Building links from these authoritative pages, relating closely with your business, serves to build your websites Link Popularity.

What is Link Popularity?

Search engines rely on the referrals from one page to another to establish relevance and authority for a topic. The more Links you have from other pages considered authoritative the more authority is given to your site. Links to your pages by other sites are important to getting ranked. Links to your site represent the crowd you are associated with in the search world.

All links are not valued equally.

Just like the real world you are judged by your associates. This means that links from web pages that contain content related to your web site have the most weight. Links to your site from unrelated pages, link farms, and blogs with rel="nofollow" tags will not improve your ranking. Like PPC advertizing you may still receive some direct traffic from these links, they do not contribute to Link Popularity.

How do LeadsLander Campaigns work?

LeadsLander’s provide the content search engines, and the searcher, are looking for. Each page provides specific textual content along with the optimized underlying code to be considered relevant to a search term. Effective copy often is an example of the use of the product or service that is the subject of the keyword string. You are offering useful information to the reader as well as identifying the subject to the search engine through the richness of the terms in the copy. The HTML code of the page is optimized and supported by the content in the body of the page. This is the ideal presentation for both the human reader and the search robot.

Each page in a campaign is interlinked with the others of the same topic as well as the corresponding pages of your company web site. This increases the important "Link popularity" of your pages.

What’s the problem with graphics?

The biggest problem with graphics relates to search engine spiders. These software applications are very good at reading text, even discerning the semantic context of what they read. They are well represented by an example of someone reading a page in Braille. The reader may be aware of the image but relies on a textual or audio description of the image. Image files may be described in a HTML Tag as alternate text. The alt. description is visible to the search engine, and should be used when an image is on the page.

Multi media displays and even the navigation of the web site may contain your message. Search engines will not see this embedded text, nor the links to all your pages in these graphics. Fast loading pages are important to your visitor; the large file sizes associated with graphics the slower the page load.

What is Keyword Stuffing?

This is form of spam where the keywords are repeated for the sole purpose of increasing their density in the page. These pages are usually easy for a search engine to recognize as spam. This method was one of the gimmicks used in early SEO, and persists in older pages. In some arcane topics where there is little content on the web you may still find examples of these pages. If you read the text and have developed a stutter you have found keyword stuffing.

What is a SERP?

A Search Engine Results Page is presented in response to your search query. The results are divided into two two categories. One is the “sponsored” or “paid” results. Sponsored results are usually identified by background shading and placed at the top, right, and bottom of the page. The main body of the page presents the “organic” or “free” results. Organic results are ordered by their relevancy to the search query, whereas the sponsored results are sorted according to the amount paid.
