DI Clients are the Stars at
58th Annual Dinner Meeting
Chairman of the Board, Ed Rembecky, warmly welcomed 60 guests and introduced the entertainment for the evening — the fabulous “Dedicated Individuals of Diversified Industries.” Nicholas Huff and Nicole Hutsell were co-emcees for the performance. Under the direction of Joyce Corjon, OPARC Speech Pathologist, the performers took command of the stage and the fun began! First up, piano/vocalist extraordinaire, Danny A., with an energetic rendition of “Sunny.” An “oldie” Beach Boys favorite, “California Girls,” was a big production number with Adam N., Frankie F., Richard B., and Robert S., dressed in Hawaiian shirts, portraying the boys. The guys were joined on-stage by Denise B., Jenny J., Linda S., Melissa B., and Sophia S., dressed in outfits depicting “girls” from different areas of the USA. Next there were some very scary characters creeping onstage. Cassie P., Dianne S., Georgia R., and Jeff S., were very convincing zombies in “Thriller.” The entire audience got involved by clapping and dancing as Britney M., Annette D., BranDee M., Angeanette O., and James W. portrayed Hannah Montana and friends in “The Other Side of Me”.
The finalé was an inspiring Josh Groban piece; “Thankful” was performed by Betty A., Griselda G., Michael M., Sarah D., Timmy C., and Venus P., in ASL led by Joyce. The performers were greeted by thunderous applause and a
standing ovation at the end of the show. In addition to retiring board members receiving recognition , Joyce Corjon was given a mug especially designed for speech therapists and a certificate of recognition from Senator Bob Dutton for her service and commitment to the clients of OPARC for more than 19 years!
